Hardik Pandya Statement After Losing 1st T20I: For the Indian team, the beginning of the 5-match T20 series against the West Indies could not be seen better. Some big hits could definitely turn the match. We lost a few wickets early which cost us.
Hardik further said in his statement that we wanted to give a chance to 2 wrist spin bowlers in this match. Mukesh bowled very well in this match and now he has made his debut in all the three formats. Tilak also started very well and showed aggressive play in his very first match. I saw a lot of confidence in him, which can be considered very good for the Indian team.
Tilak Verma played the highest innings in the match for India
Chasing the target of 150 runs, Tilak Verma, making his international debut, played the highest innings for the Indian team in this match. Who scored 39 runs in 22 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from this, Suryakumar scored 21 and captain Hardik scored 19 runs. The Indian team could only manage to score 145 in the match at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Now the second match of the series between the two teams will be played in Guyana on 6 August.
